After the death of three children and illness of 9 others in 15 days, the district administration promptly sought help from ICMR. According to family members, the children first had fever and cold, then kidney infection. Even after treatment in private hospitals, their condition deteriorated and even after being referred to Nagpur, three children lost their lives. A health department team from Bhopal is also stationed in Parasia. The team visited the affected areas, met with victims’ families and gathered information. Usaid’s death devastated Yasin’s world There is mourning at Yasin Khan’s house in Magazine Line of Parasia. His 4-year-old son Used Khan, who was lovingly called Ussu, passed away on September 13. The laughing and playing child succumbed during 14 days of illness. Now only Yasin’s younger son Yaman Khan (2 years) remains in the house.
Yasin Khan says that Used got fever on August 31. After treatment at a local clinic, the fever subsided on September 6, but returned the next day. On the 7th, he was taken to Chhindwara hospital, from where he was referred to Nagpur. Doctors said he had a kidney infection and was unable to urinate.
Upon reaching Nagpur, all of Yasin’s savings were exhausted. He sold his auto rickshaw, which was his source of livelihood, for his son’s treatment. The women’s jewelry from the house was also sold. 3 lakh rupees were spent on treatment, but still Used could not be saved.
During treatment, Used underwent dialysis three times, which provided relief from kidney disease. However, during this time he developed brain swelling, which led to brain hemorrhage. Even after 6 days of treatment, he died on the evening of September 13. 2. Adnan’s death devastated Afreen’s family Afreen Parveen had tears in her eyes. Until a few days ago, there were 12 children in this joint family, but now only 11 remain. Their eldest son Adnan, who was only 5 years and 8 months old, is no longer in this world. He lost his life due to kidney failure.
Afreen said that on August 21, Adnan had fever for the first time. He had recovered after taking medicine, but on August 26, he started vomiting repeatedly, due to which he was admitted to Parasia hospital. On August 27, when he got fever again, he was given an injection. Adnan was continuously complaining of stomach pain and vomiting. Tests showed Adnan had an infection The family living in Newton got treatment from Dr. Praveen Soni. Dr. Praveen Soni also has a clinic in Umred, where Dr. Siddiqui also practices, who had treated the first case. Due to persistent stomach pain and vomiting problems, Adnan was taken to Dr. Nahar at Nahar Hospital on August 28. After examination, he found infection in Adnan’s kidney. That same night, they left for Nagpur with Adnan, but after 9 days of treatment, Adnan took his last breath on September 7. 3. Mourning in Umareth: Hitansh passed away after 18 days Four-year-old Hitansh Soni from Umareth passed away on Friday. Amit Soni, who lives in Ward No. 6, said that when the child got fever, they took him to a pediatrician in Parasia, where even after three days of treatment when the child did not get relief, the doctor referred him to Nagpur. Doctors in Nagpur informed that the child had developed a kidney infection. The 18-day treatment cost 8 lakh rupees, but doctors could not save Hitansh. The death of the innocent child has created a mourning atmosphere in Umareth. Three innocent deaths, thousands of children examined Parasia Civil Hospital’s Block Medical Officer Ankit Sahlam said that after complaints of cold, cough and fever, some children were treated at private hospitals. They suddenly started developing kidney problems. When the children were referred to Chhindwara and Nagpur, it was discovered they had kidney infections. Three children have died. Some children are still undergoing treatment. The administration team is continuously visiting areas and conducting surveys of children up to 5 years old, collecting samples.
