Maharaj Aryaman Scindia, President of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA), will visit Indore for the first time on Thursday since taking office. During his visit, he will review preparations for the upcoming Women’s Cricket World Cup scheduled to be held in the city next month. MPCA senior member Raju Singh Chauhan said that Scindia will arrive in Indore in the morning and hold discussions with association officials. The meeting will primarily focus on readiness for hosting the Women’s World Cup matches, along with other key organizational matters. Indore to host Women’s Cricket World Cup after 28 years Indore is set to host Women’s Cricket World Cup matches for the first time in 28 years. The last Women’s World Cup match in the city was held in 1997 at Nehru Stadium, where India faced New Zealand. This time, Indore has been selected to host five matches, and the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) is determined to make the event a grand success. To encourage more spectators, ticket prices have been kept very affordable. The first match at Holkar Stadium will take place on October 1 between Australia and New Zealand. Ticket prices start at just ₹100, with the highest priced ticket set at ₹525. Teams from Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, India, and Sri Lanka will compete in Indore. All matches will begin at 3 PM. Ahead of the tournament, MPCA has upgraded facilities at Holkar Stadium, including the installation of new floodlights. Across the country, a total of 28 matches will be played in different stadiums during the Women’s World Cup.
