On Tuesday night, Bajrang Dal workers disrupted a Garba festival organized by Soft Vision College in Barsana Garden, Kanadiya, Indore. They alleged that the event featured film songs and obscene activities late at night. Police have begun taking action against the organizers regarding the event’s permission. Bajrang Dal division coordinator Praveen Darekar claimed he had received information that film songs were being played and obscenity was taking place. He reached the venue with his colleagues, after which the college administration asked the youth performing Garba to step outside. Allegation of youth escaping through back route Darekar also alleged that some youths from a particular community were present at the event. According to him, workers searched the garden premises and claimed that several youths had been made to flee through a back exit. Questions raised on police role Kanadiya TI Saharsh Yadav reached the spot and got into a heated argument with Bajrang Dal workers when questioned about the event’s permission. Unable to provide a clear answer, he faced criticism from the workers. Later, ACP Kundan Mandloi also arrived and took some members of the college staff to the police station for further inquiry.
