A case of rape and assault of a woman has come to light in Mandsaur district. The accused allegedly punched the woman multiple times on her chest, bit her face and the surrounding area, and then raped her before fleeing. The victim has been admitted to hospital in a serious condition. The incident occurred on Sunday in the Sitamau police station area. The accused has been identified as Arjun Bagri, a resident of Rahimgarh village. Late at night, the police registered a case based on the victim’s statement and launched a search for the suspect. According to the police, the woman had left her home on Sunday to attend to some work. During this time, Arjun reportedly stopped her on the way. As news of the incident spread, a large number of people reached Sitamau police station. They started chanting slogans, demanding the immediate arrest of the accused.
