Farmers in Indore are set to take out a ‘Soybean Bhavantar Dhanyawad Tractor Rally’ today, supported by the BJP. The rally will start from Dussehra Maidan at 11 am and proceed to the Collectorate. Farmers from various rural areas of the district are reaching Indore in tractors through designated routes. Police and traffic personnel have been deployed across the city to manage law and order. Citizens have been advised to use alternative routes to avoid disruption. BJP district president Shravan Singh Chawda said the rally has been organised by farmers themselves, while BJP is extending support. Party workers will welcome participants along the route. Traffic diversion plan in force To facilitate smooth passage of tractors and maintain order, Indore police have announced diversions from 8 am onwards on key roads. The rally will move from Dussehra Maidan via Usha Nagar, Mahunaka Square, Lalbagh, Naiduniya Square, Kesarbagh Road, Madhuban Colony T-point, Annapurna police station, and return to Usha Nagar before concluding at the ground. Police have advised commuters to avoid these stretches and use alternate routes during the rally hours to prevent inconvenience. Another rally on October 12 Depalpur BJP MLA Manoj Patel will also take out a Soybean Bhavantar Tractor Rally on October 12. His rally will also begin from Dussehra Maidan and conclude at the Collectorate. Farmers’ opposition at Saturday meeting At a meeting in the Collectorate on Saturday, Kisan Sangh leaders including Lakshminarayan Patel, Krishnapal Singh Rathore, and Dilip Mukati said the scheme is “flawed” and should not be promoted unless major issues are addressed. Farmers have made it clear that they prefer direct MSP procurement rather than price difference adjustments.
