On Saturday, a fight and firing took place between two groups in Hamayama village under Panihar police station in Gwalior. The dispute began when Suraj Yadav tried to stop some youths from using abusive language near the village wrestling arena. Police acted quickly, arresting four people, including two minors, and recovered weapons from the scene. Upon Suraj Yadav’s intervention, Sonu Gurjar and Sharif Khan started arguing with him. This argument soon escalated into a fight, spreading tension throughout the village. In this dispute, one side involved people from the Gurjar and Muslim communities, while the other side was reportedly from the Yadav community. Country-made pistols – live rounds recovered Upon receiving information about escalating tension, Panihar police reached the spot with heavy force. Police registered a case against four people, including Sonu Gurjar and Sharif Khan. Four 315 bore country-made pistols and live rounds kept in a plastic sack were also recovered from the spot. Police force is still deployed in the village to prevent any untoward incident and to maintain normalcy. Three other accused in this case are still absconding, whom the police are searching for. CSP Robin Jain, while giving information about the case, said that Gwalior police have arrested four accused, including two minors, within 8 hours. Police interrogation is currently underway with them. ​
