On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, the State Government has decided to release the salary for the month of October 2025 in advance on 17th and 18th October, keeping in view the convenience of all government officers and employees.

On the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary has issued directives to all departments to ensure timely implementation of this decision.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said, “For me, governance is not merely an administrative system, but a family of dedicated colleagues who serve the people with full devotion. The advance salary payment before Diwali reflects that same sense of belonging — the government wishes to share in the happiness of every member of this family and spread light and joy in every home.”

He added that the festival of Diwali symbolizes joy, unity, and enthusiasm. The government’s intent is to ensure that every officer and employee can celebrate the festival cheerfully with their families without facing any financial inconvenience.

To ensure the smooth completion of the salary disbursement process, all treasuries and sub-treasuries in the state will remain open on 18th October (Saturday, a holiday) so that no employee faces any difficulty in receiving payment.

The State Government has also clarified that advance payments may be made, as per rules, under other categories such as wages, honorarium, and remuneration.

Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that the advance salary payment before Diwali will not only provide financial relief and convenience to government employees but will also bring vibrancy to state markets during the GST Savings Festival, boosting trade activities and accelerating the flow of the economy. This move will directly benefit local traders, artisans, and small entrepreneurs, creating an atmosphere of celebration and confidence across the state’s economy.

He concluded by saying, “Every decision of the government is connected to the happiness and respect of our diligent colleagues. The advance salary payment before Diwali is a reflection of that heartfelt sentiment — that every home be filled with light, and every heart glow with joy and trust.”
