The dispute involving the transgender community in Indore continues, with transgender Sapna remaining in jail for the second day. New developments have emerged, and the case has now reached Bhopal, where a new SIT may be formed. On Friday, Mahamandaleshwar Laxminarayan Tripathi of Kinnar Akhara met Collector Shivam Verma, accusing Sapna and her lawyer Sachin Sonkar of conspiring to defame him and his followers. Lawyer Sonkar rejected these claims, saying all allegations against the Nandlalpura transgenders are based on facts and evidence. On Wednesday evening, 24 transgenders consumed phenyl in the Pandharinath police station area, leading to health deterioration and admission to MY Hospital. Outside the hospital, four transgenders attempted self-immolation with petrol, but police seized the bottle and controlled the situation. Advocate Sonkar said, We have presented videos and documents related to foreign funding and mistreatment of transgenders against Payal alias Naeem Ansari and Seema before the administration. If the allegations prove to be false, we ourselves are ready to give a reward of 11 lakh rupees. Transgenders cleared in SIT investigation Payal Haji has called all allegations against her baseless, stating that a prior SIT investigation cleared her and other transgenders. Despite this, they are being targeted, and her name is being wrongly dragged into the matter. Administration on alert Due to the growing dispute in the transgender community, officials are questioning all parties involved and will take further action based on emerging facts.
