The State Government’s ‘Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy 2025’ and the ‘Niyad Nella Naar Yojana’ have ushered in a new era of transformation in the Bastar region. As a result of these initiatives, confidence has grown among the youth once involved in Maoist violence, inspiring them to return to the mainstream and take steps toward development. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai stated that under the “Poona Margaem – Rehabilitation to Rejuvenation” campaign in Bijapur district, 51 Maoists carrying a total reward of ₹66 lakh have surrendered today due to the persistent efforts of the security forces. All of them have expressed faith in the Constitution and resolved to live a dignified life within the democratic framework. The Chief Minister said that this development is proof that Bastar is emerging from the darkness of fear and violence into a new era of peace, trust, and progress. The government’s sensitive policies and humane approach have become the driving force behind this change. He emphasized that dialogue is the only lasting solution to this problem. Chief Minister Sai further added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, the nation is moving rapidly toward the goal of a Naxal-free India. The Chhattisgarh Government is working with full commitment and sensitivity in this direction.
