Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, healthcare services in Jashpur district are reaching new heights. Now, a Satya Sai Maternity and Child Hospital along with an advanced Pediatric Cardiac Care Hospital is being established in the Farsabahar region. This hospital will be set up by the renowned social service organization, Satya Sai Trust. The district administration has already identified five acres of land for the hospital. Until the permanent building is completed, the Trust will temporarily operate the hospital from the Farsabahar Community Health Centre (CHC). Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai announced this significant initiative during the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Shivir held in Farsabahar. The Chief Minister stated that the Satya Sai Hospital in Raipur is known across the country for its selfless service, where children with heart diseases are treated completely free of cost — the hospital doesn’t even have a cash counter. So far, more than 40,000 children have received free treatment there. He also mentioned that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has been deeply impressed by the hospital’s spirit of service and will soon be visiting it personally. Chief Minister Sai explained that, inspired by the Prime Minister, he requested the Trust to expand its healthcare services to Jashpur — a predominantly tribal district. Responding to this, the Trust decided to set up the hospital in Farsabahar. He said this hospital will be nothing short of a blessing for the district. Once operational, it will provide free and high-quality healthcare to children not only from Jashpur but also from neighboring border areas of Odisha and Jharkhand. Rapid Expansion of Healthcare Services in the District Since Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai took office in December 2023, Jashpur district has witnessed historic improvements in the healthcare sector: Kunkuri Medical College: Announced in the Chief Minister’s first budget, fulfilling a long-standing dream of the district. ₹32 crore sanctioned for a 220-bed hospital in the first phase, with approval for 90 posts. Land identified at Charaidand, and temporary operations are being initiated from Raja Devsharan District Hospital. Jagdev Ram Uraon Memorial Hospital, Jashpurnagar: Construction underway at a cost of ₹35 crore, equipped with CT scan and advanced emergency facilities. Ginabahar Maternity and Child Hospital (MCH): A high-level center under construction for pregnant mothers and newborns. Nursing and Physiotherapy College: A major step toward self-reliance in health education. Kunkuri Dialysis Center: Providing free treatment to kidney patients. Healthcare Infrastructure Upgrade: Six sub-health centers upgraded to primary health centers, ambulance fleet expanded, and new medical staff appointments have strengthened service delivery. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai’s sensitive and visionary leadership clearly demonstrates the state government’s commitment to making Jashpur a model district for healthcare services in Chhattisgarh. With the establishment of the Satya Sai Trust hospital, world-class, free, and service-driven medical care will now be accessible even in tribal regions.
