WRD Pavilion Secured First Prize For Excellence At Chhattisgarh Rajat Mahotsav

In a moment of immense pride for Department of Water Resources Chhattisgarh, Pavilion has won First Prize for the Excellence in Display for its outstanding work in water conservation and management at prestigious state level Chhattisgarh’s Rajat Mahotsav 2025, which was held from 1-5 November at Nava Raipur.

The Water Resources Department’s Pavilion has been reflects the visionary leadership and tireless commitment of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai towards the Water Resources and Irrigation Department, Chhattisgarh.

Under the Secretary WRD Rajesh Toppo’s dynamic stewardship, Chhattisgarh has emerged as a frontrunner in community-led water conservation initiatives. His efforts have not only focused on implementing sustainable water management systems but also on instilling a sense of shared responsibility among citizens towards water preservation.

The Water Resources Department Pavilion display at Chhattisgarh’s Rajat Mahotsav, emphasizing participatory water conservation, found strong ground in Chhattisgarh through extensive public engagement and innovative practices. The Department of WRD had also focused on increasing irrigation capacity, water management -water diversion, water conservation, community participation and efforts towards inter-linking of rivers, better techniques utilized in irrigation facilities.
