Vande Mataram” will resonate across Chhattisgarh – a year-long festival of national unity and pride.

The echo of Vande Mataram will inspire patriotism and a sense of pride among the new generation – Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.

The 150th anniversary of “Vande Mataram” is a moment of great pride and national devotion for the entire country. Under the guidance of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, this historic occasion will be celebrated as a year-long massive campaign. In Chhattisgarh, it will be organized with public participation in four phases, from village panchayats to the state level.


First Phase Begins 7 November

The program marking 150 years of Vande Mataram will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 7 November 2025.
This national event will be broadcast on Doordarshan from 10 AM to 11 AM.
Following the Prime Minister’s address, a nationwide collective singing of Vande Mataram will take place.

Year-Long Celebration in Four Phases

  1. Phase 1: 7 – 14 November 2025
  2. Phase 2: 19 – 26 January 2026
  3. Phase 3: 7 – 15 August 2026 (along with the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign)
  4. Phase 4: 1 – 7 November 2026

During these phases, collective singing of the national song and various cultural and patriotic programs will be organized in all districts, blocks, village panchayats, educational institutions, offices, and social organizations.


Participation of Ministers and Public Representatives

Special programs will be held in every district in the presence of ministers, MPs, MLAs, and public representatives.
Local artists, students, social groups, and citizens will actively participate to turn this campaign into a mass movement.


Special Activities in Schools and Colleges

All schools, colleges, and educational institutions will hold activities based on Vande Mataram, including:

  • Assemblies
  • Essay writing and debates
  • Quizzes
  • Poster making
  • Cultural performances

NCC, NSS, Scout-Guide groups, school bands, and the state police band will present patriotic musical performances in public spaces.


Innovative Initiative: ‘Vande Mataram Audio-Video Booth’

Across the state, Vande Mataram Audio-Video Booths will be set up under public-private partnership.
Citizens will be able to record the song in their own voice and upload it to the official portal.
The portal will provide the original lyrics and tune for reference.
This initiative encourages personal and emotional participation in the celebration.


The 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram is not just a commemorative moment, but a living message of national unity, self-respect, and devotion to the motherland.
