During the Jandarshan program held at the residence of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today, the Chief Minister promptly approved financial assistance of ₹90,000 for specially-abled rugby player Shri Pintu Ram Sahu from Abhanpur (Raipur district). Shri Sahu had sought help for purchasing a wheelchair and essential sports equipment. Understanding his circumstances and needs, the Chief Minister immediately provided him a cheque for the sanctioned amount. Applicant Shri Pintu Ram Sahu shared that he has been associated with sports for the past four years. On 2 October 2025, he travelled to Gwalior for the first time to participate in a rugby event. Shri Sahu is currently a final-year B.A. student and, despite his disability, remains determined to build his future in sports. Expressing happiness after receiving financial support from the Chief Minister, Shri Sahu said the assistance is a great motivation for him. He thanked Chief Minister Shri Sai and said he will now work even harder to perform better in sports and bring pride to Chhattisgarh.
