A mother died while trying to save her 4-year-old daughter, who also died, after falling into a well in Bagora village on Sunday evening. Villagers rushed to the spot and pulled out the bodies of mother and daughter. The entire village is in mourning. The accident happened in the fields near Bagora village, under Jatara police station area. Police have started investigating. According to locals, Jayanti Kushwaha went to the field with her daughter Kalpana, also called Deepu. Kalpana was eating chips while walking when she slipped and fell into the well. Her mother jumped in to save her, but both lost their lives. Villagers reached the spot after hearing screams Seeing her daughter fall into the well, Jayanti ran towards her. Then, to save her daughter, she jumped into the well. Hearing the woman’s screams, people working in nearby fields reached the well. Efforts to rescue the mother and daughter began. A man descended into the well with the help of a rope. Then, Jayanti and Kalpana were pulled out. Doctors declared the daughter dead Villagers immediately took the mother and daughter to Jatara Community Health Center. Here, after a medical check-up, doctors declared Kalpana dead. Jayanti has been admitted for treatment. SI NK Thakur of Jatara police station said – The child’s body has been handed over to the family after post-mortem. A case has been registered and investigation has started. Sarpanch representative Kailash Prajapati said that Jayanti’s husband Deepu Kushwaha (33) works as a laborer and farmer. He was at his home during the incident. The couple had one son and one daughter. The son is older, while the daughter Kalpana was younger.
