Former DG and Ex-Lok Sabha Candidate faces complaint in EOW:Bhopal Engineer alleges Maithilisharan Gupt submitted false info in Election Affidavit

A complaint has been filed with the EOW against retired DG Maithilisharan Gupt from Madhya Pradesh Police. The complaint was made by engineer Madhav Gupta, who owns a plot adjacent to his bungalow in Danish Kunj Kolar. The complaint alleges that the former DG contested the 2024 Lok Sabha election from Bhopal. During this election nomination, he submitted an affidavit. The property-related information in the affidavit is incorrect. In it, he has greatly undervalued his property. Bungalow bought in 1996, registered in 2010
Maithilisharan Gupt lives in Danish Kunj Kolar. Madhav Gupta, who filed the complaint against him, said that Maithilisharan Gupt had submitted an affidavit during the election nomination, in which he stated the current value of his bungalow (located in Danish Kunj) as 3.10 crores. He also stated that he purchased this bungalow in 1996. While the fact is that this bungalow was registered in 2010. The price is also higher than their information given. The price of the bungalow at the time of registration in March 2010 was Rs 23.60 lakh. But the bungalow was said to be purchased for Rs 3.85 lakh. The remaining price was paid separately. Engineer Madhav Gupta said that, taking advantage of his influence, Maithilisharan Gupt has encroached on some part of my plot. Where he has illegally built a parking. When I complained about this, an FIR was filed against me under the threatening and other sections. They threaten us every day, and when we go to the police station to complain, we are not heard. Maithilisharan describes himself as the National President of Crime Free India Mission. DG says – Madhav is committing theft and showing arrogance
Speaking to Dainik Bhaskar, former DG Maithilisharan Gupt said that Madhav Gupta is doing illegal construction. I have filed several complaints against him. That’s why he is being arrogant, along with theft. We have not done any kind of encroachment. Madhav has cut down many green trees for construction. On November 6, Madhav encroached upon the Municipal Corporation area. He has dug many deep pits here, which have weakened my house. The Municipal Corporation, District Administration and Police have issued notices against Madhav. ​
