We had a three-year friendship, which she ended in just three minutes. She threatened that if I tried to talk again, she would tell not only your wife but also the police. Her words hurt me so much that I decided to kill her. When I got the chance, I stabbed her 15 times with a knife. This is what Golu Yadav from Jabalpur says, who murdered Muskan Yadav living in the neighborhood on November 18. After this, he had fled. On Saturday, he came home to meet his family. He stayed hidden in the house all day. As soon as he left for Delhi at night, the police caught him. Mobile switched off, frequently changing locations
Muskan’s husband, Anand Yadav, had told the police that on Tuesday morning, when he was bathing at home, he heard his wife’s scream. When he came out, he saw Golu Yadav attacking Muskan with a knife. When he tried to catch him, he ran away towards Ghantaghar while brandishing the knife. Since the FIR was filed, the Omti police station and the Crime Branch team were after Golu. No clues were emerging from questioning his family members. Police were tracing Golu’s mobile location, but he would repeatedly switch it off. He would quickly change his location, due to which prevented the police from succeeding. To catch him, police were searching in all nearby districts, including Sihora, Katni, Satna, and Rewa. Over 100 CCTV cameras examined
More than four days had passed since the murder. Police were under pressure to catch the killer. Police examined all CCTV cameras along the routes where the accused had fled. His movement was seen in more than 100 cameras, but by the time police would reach that location, he would have moved to another place. During this time, informers provided information that Golu had fled towards Delhi. A police team immediately left for Delhi. Here too, Golu kept changing his location by repeatedly turning off his mobile. Even after searching for two days in Delhi, the police were not successful in catching him, and the team returned to Jabalpur. Planning to flee back to Delhi
On Saturday, Golu arrived at his house in Udiya Mohalla to meet his wife and family members. He remained hidden in the house throughout the day. At night, he reached Madan Mahal railway station to catch a train to Delhi. Meanwhile, upon receiving information from an informer, the Omti police station arrived. They surrounded the area and arrested Golu. Murder was committed for revenge
Omti TI Rajpal Singh Baghel said – Golu was Muskan’s neighbor. Three years ago, both became friends and used to meet often. But Muskan did not like Golu’s criminal habits. She asked him many times to stop his wrong actions, but Golu did not listen. Two months ago, Muskan stopped talking to him. She also changed her mobile number. Whenever Golu passed in front of the house, Muskan would go inside. TI Baghel said – During interrogation, Golu said that he has no regret at all for murdering Muskan. Case will be heard in Fast Track Court
After arresting Golu, the police have recovered blood-stained clothes and a knife based on his identification. TI Baghel says that police will try to get the case heard in fast fast-track court, so that the accused can be given strict punishment as soon as possible.
