Recent developments across India showcase a commitment to good governance, social welfare, and strategic economic initiatives, all contributing to a brighter future for every Indian.

Honouring Outstanding Service

The spirit of selfless service shines brightly with the recent Padma Awards. We’ve seen many unsung heroes and changemakers, including distinguished bureaucrats, receive this high honour. It’s a reminder that behind every policy and every development project, there are individuals working tirelessly for the greater good.

• Former IPS officer K. Vijay Kumar was awarded the Padma Shri for his exceptional police service, notably his role in ‘Operation Cocoon.’
• Eminent bureaucrat R.V.S. Mani, a former CSS officer, also received the Padma Shri for his significant contributions to public service.
• Ex-IPS Inderjit Singh Sidhu, an 88-year-old known as the ‘Broom Warrior’ for his civic efforts, was honoured with the Padma Shri, highlighting that commitment knows no age.
• Beyond these awards, IAS officers like Sonmoni Borah are pioneering cultural preservation by establishing India’s first digital tribal freedom fighters’ museum in Chhattisgarh.
• IPS Anukriti Sharma’s leadership in Sambhal led to creches in all police stations, enhancing police welfare and busting a significant insurance fraud.

Strides in Governance and Economy

Rajasthan, for instance, became the first state to implement the ‘Raj-UNNATI’ framework, mirroring the Prime Minister’s ‘PRAGATI’ model for effective governance, earning praise from the Cabinet Secretary.

• Chennai Petroleum reported an astounding 9,248% surge in net profit year-on-year, driven by strong refining margins.
• NLC India successfully commissioned the final phase of its 300 MW Rajasthan solar project, significantly boosting renewable energy capacity.
• DFCCIL accomplished a major engineering feat by installing the longest rail flyover girder at Kalamboli, a crucial step for the Western DFC.
