The Government of India has approved the appointment of Vijyendra Kumar, an Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax) officer of 2007 batch, as Joint Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Vijyendra Kumar, presently serving as Deputy Inspector General in the CBI, will assume charge as Joint Director with effect from the date of taking over the post. His tenure in the new role will continue until the completion of his current deputation term, which is scheduled to end on July 19, 2026. This appointment marks a key elevation within the premier investigative agency, reflecting the government’s continued emphasis on strengthening leadership within the CBI.
