Love Kumar to Continue as IG in SPG for One More Year

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Office of Secretary (Security), Cabinet Secretariat, for continuation of Love Kumar, IPS (UP:2004), as Inspector General (IG) in the Special Protection Group (SPG).

For this purpose, the post of DIG has been temporarily upgraded to the level of IG for a further period of one year beyond 07 April 2026, marking his third year in the position.

Ashutosh Singh Appointed as DIG in CBI till 2030

The Competent Authority has approved the appointment of Ashutosh Singh, IPS (CH:2012), presently serving as SP in CBI, as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). His tenure as DIG will continue up to 25 December 2030, the date of completion of his approved tenure, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Shubhendra Katta’s Deputation in CBDT Extended by One Year

The Competent Authority has approved the extension of deputation tenure of Shubhendra Katta, IRS (C&IT:2011), for a further period of one year beyond 27 April 2026. His extended tenure will now continue from 28 April 2026 to 27 April 2027, marking his fifth year on deputation, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Lokesh Kumar Jain Appointed PS to MoS Petroleum and Natural Gas Suresh Gopi

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Lokesh Kumar Jain, IRS (C&IT:2009), as Private Secretary (PS) to the Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Suresh Gopi, in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

As part of the approval, his tenure as Director in the Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation under the Central Staffing Scheme has been curtailed.

He will serve as PS at the level of Director from the date of assumption of charge of the post up to 09 April 2028, which is the balance period of his five-year tenure, or on a co-terminus basis with the Minister, or until he ceases to function as PS, or until further orders, whichever is earliest.
