Books ‘Makhan Ke Lal’, ‘Cartoon Katha’ and ‘Khajuraho’ will be Released

Three days cultural evening including “Vande Mataram”

On the historic occasion of completion of 200 years of Hindi journalism, Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication and Veer Bharat Trust on the joint initiative of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication.

Cultural Advisor to CM, Trustee Secretary of Veer Bharat Nyas and Director of Maharaja Vikramaditya Shodhpeeth Mr Shriram Tiwari has informed that the three-day national discourse titled Udanta Martand will begin on Friday, May 8, 2026.

The event, held on 8th, 9th and 10th May 2026 at Bharat Bhawan in Bhopal, will have three sessions focused on India, which will be held by Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha Harivansh, Acharya Mithilanandinisharan and filmmaker Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi will address. Bharat Bhavan, Dattopant Thengdi Research Institute, MP Council of Science and Technology are also partners in the programme.
On May 8 at 10:30 am, the programme will be inaugurated by Acharya Mithilanandinisharan (Ayodhya).

Former Information Commissioner Uday Mahurkar, Dr. C. Jaishankar Babu, Kulguru Vijay Manohar Tiwari and Shriram Tiwari, Trustee Secretary, Veer Bharat Trust, will address the gathering. Senior journalists Vishnuprakash Tripathi, Nagma Sahar, Saeed Ansari, Uday Sinha, Amitabh Agnihotri, Jayanti Ranganathan, Dr. Brajesh Kumar Singh, Prof. Kripashankar Choubey, Prof. Soma Bandyopadhyay, Vikas Mishra, Prafulla Ketkar, Pratyush Ranjan, Shailesh Pandey, Hitesh Shankar, Prateek Trivedi, Rashid Kidwai, Anil Pandey, Dilip Sharma, Sharad Gupta, Salman Ravi.

An exhibition of newspapers focusing on the glorious journey of two hundred years of journalism is also being displayed on the occasion. At the same time, eight senior cartoonists from the country will perform their live cartoon show.

The Release of Three Books
On this occasion, books ‘Makhan Ke Lal’, ‘Cartoon Katha’ and ‘Khajuraho’ will be released on the occasion. The university’s experimental newspapers ‘Vikalp’, ‘Pahal’ and ‘Abhyudaya’ will also be released. Similarly, three documentaries made by electronic media students will also be released on the occasion. Cultural programmes will be held at the function from 7 pm onwards.

The Bharat Swabhiman Naga Sadhu Knowledge Fund Exhibition

The Bharat Swabhiman-Naga Sadhu Gyan Kosh exhibition will be a special attraction at the Bharat Bhavan complex. In which the Shiv period, Naga Shastra tradition and the weapons of the heroes who participated in 1857 are being displayed. It has more than 2500 historical examples from the 16th to 18th centuries. These include many very important examples directly related to the First War of Indian Independence (1857) . Mangal Pandey’s gun, Hoshiar Singh Hansa’s gun and a firearm belonging to the family of Rani Lakshmibai (Jhansi) . The collection also includes eight weapons personally used by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Bidur items associated with the 1857 revolt. As per the theme of the exhibition, the most sacred serpent armoury such as Trishul and Veer Kankan and traditional equipment used in Naga gymnasiums and Akharas are also included. This material has been stored by Core Heritage, Pune.
