A female tourist died during a fight between two elephants at the Dubare Elephant Camp in Karnataka’s Kodagu district. Officials said 33-year-old Tulasi from Tamil Nadu was standing near the river watching the elephants being bathed. During this time, two elephants named Kanjan and Martanda suddenly started fighting. The mahouts tried to control them, but Kanjan attacked Martanda. In the struggle, Martanda lost its balance and fell on the woman. Tulasi died at the scene after being crushed by the elephant. A man and a child who were with her narrowly escaped. A video of the incident has also surfaced, showing the man trying to pull Tulasi from under the elephant, but she had already died.
