The Delhi High Court on Friday, 5 June declined an urgent hearing on a plea seeking intervention against the Cockroach Janta Party’s (CJP) proposed protest at Jantar Mantar on June 6, which has been called to demand the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged irregularities in NEET, CBSE and the education system. The petition was filed by Save India Foundation, which raised concerns over possible law and order issues and sought preventive measures ahead of the demonstration. Meanwhile, Delhi Police said it has not received any request from CJP seeking permission to hold the protest. “We will examine their request if and when they seek permission,” a senior police officer told PTI, adding that authorities are monitoring the situation and will make security arrangements as required. CJP founder Abhijit Dipke to arrive in Delhi from the US on June 6 CJP founder Abhijit Dipke will arrive in Delhi from the United States on June 6. After reaching, he will go to the Sansad Marg Police Station to seek permission for a protest at Jantar Mantar. The party has also appealed to youth across the country to join the movement. The party has claimed that climate activist Sonam Wangchuk may also join the protest. CJP leaders said the movement reflects growing dissatisfaction among youth with the education system and political structure. Abhijeet Dipke urges supporters to avoid airport gathering Ahead of the June 6 protest, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke appealed to supporters not to gather at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport to receive him upon his arrival from the United States. The outfit said the response to its earlier call had been overwhelming and that a large crowd could cause inconvenience to passengers and create security concerns. Reports say he studied journalism in Pune and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Relations at Boston University in the United States. He worked as a social media strategist for Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party from 2020 to 2022. During the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections, he created viral meme-based promotional content for AAP. In an interview, he said he left AAP for personal and financial stability and later joined Boston University. After moving to the US, he has been active on X, criticising the central government and the Prime Minister on issues such as the farmers’ protest and inflation. ​
