Governor Shri Ramen Deka met with School Education Department Secretary Dr. Kamalpreet Singh at Raj Bhavan today. During the meeting, the Governor held detailed discussions on the status of education and the availability of educational facilities in areas predominantly inhabited by Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs). The Governor stressed the need to take necessary measures to provide quality education to children belonging to these communities and directed that issues affecting their education be resolved promptly. He stated that special attention should be given to connecting students living in remote and hilly regions with educational opportunities and developing the required infrastructure for them. He further emphasized that matters related to education, hostel facilities, school infrastructure, and the availability of teachers for PVTG children should be addressed with sensitivity. This would help ensure better educational opportunities for students in these areas and support their overall development.
