Senior ISKCON monk Radharaman Das has announced that he has been relieved of all his official responsibilities within the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) and has been directed not to represent or speak on behalf of the organisation before the media, government authorities, or any public forum. Radharaman Das relieved from ISKCON duties In a public statement, Das said he respects the decision taken by the ISKCON authorities and will abide by the directions issued to him. He also requested journalists and media organisations not to seek comments or interviews from him on behalf of ISKCON. According to Das, the action against him primarily relates to his public statements and media appearances on several issues. Public statements cited behind disciplinary action These include speaking about the alleged persecution of Hindus and devotees in Bangladesh, extending support to Chinmoy Krishna Prabhu, issuing a legal notice to former Union Minister Maneka Gandhi over her allegations against ISKCON, filing a cyber complaint against comedian Surleen Kaur for allegedly derogatory remarks about the organisation, defending Sanatana Dharma in public debates, sharing a social media post regarding Donald Trump’s historical association with the 1976 New York Rathayatra, and appearing in a television interview on May 29, 2026. Das prays for ISKCON’s continued growth Describing the television interview as the “last nail,” Das said he would no longer make public statements on behalf of ISKCON. Despite the decision, Radharaman Das expressed gratitude to his well-wishers and devotees for their continued support and prayed for ISKCON’s continued growth and success.
