A massive fire broke out at an SRA residential building in Andheri West, Mumbai, on Friday, triggering panic among residents and prompting a large-scale rescue operation. According to initial reports, some residents jumped from the third and fourth floors in a desperate attempt to escape the flames. No official casualties have been confirmed so far. Residents rescued as fire brigade launches operation Fire brigade personnel rushed to the scene soon after receiving the alert and launched rescue operations. Several residents were safely evacuated from the building as firefighters battled the blaze. Thick smoke engulfed multiple floors, trapping several people inside and making rescue efforts more challenging. Authorities have not yet confirmed the number of people injured. Fire broke out in Gadevi Dongar SRA Complex The blaze erupted in Building No. 2 of the SRA Complex in the Gadevi Dongar area of Andheri West. The residential building is located near Noor Masjid, Khoja Jamatkhana and Delhi United Society. The incident caused widespread panic in the neighbourhood as smoke billowed from the structure. Cause yet to be determined After sustained efforts, the fire department brought the blaze under control. However, the exact cause of the fire remains unknown and an investigation is expected. Officials are yet to confirm whether there were any fatalities, while the extent of the damage and injuries is still being assessed.
