Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai flagged off the Tree ATM.

Forest department’s innovative initiative will distribute free saplings, give message of environmental protection

Usually, the word ATM conjures up images of a money-withdrawal machine. However, the Jashpur Forest Department has launched a “Tree ATM,” a novel initiative to make environmental protection a public campaign. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai flagged off this unique mobile Tree ATM at the Bagiya helipad complex. This initiative will ensure easy access to plants for the general public, as well as provide a new impetus to environmental protection and public awareness.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai personally received an Amla sapling from the Tree ATM and distributed them to those present. He said that this mobile Tree ATM will reach various areas of the district and provide free saplings to the general public. This will encourage more people to join tree planting and will expand public participation in environmental protection.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai praised this innovative initiative of the Jashpur Forest Department, saying that the “Tree ATM” is a commendable effort to provide saplings to the public in a simple and easy way. He added that the current rainy season is the most opportune time for tree planting. This initiative will provide easy access to various species of saplings, which will encourage widespread tree planting and strengthen environmental conservation efforts.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said that the “One Tree in the Name of Mother” campaign launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has instilled a new awareness of environmental protection across the country. Inspired by this campaign, tree planting is also being carried out on a large scale in Chhattisgarh.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said that environmental protection is every citizen’s moral responsibility. If each person plants a sapling and pledges to nurture it until it grows into a tree, a clean, green, and safe environment can be ensured for future generations. He called on the people of the state to join the “One Tree for Mother” campaign by planting as many saplings as possible.

A unique initiative launched with the message ‘Today’s plant, shade for generations to come’

It is noteworthy that the Tree ATM, launched under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” mega campaign, was flagged off with the inspiring message, “Today’s Plant, Shade for Future Generations.” This innovative initiative will not only distribute free saplings, but also educate each recipient on the scientific and correct method of planting, regular care, protection, and measures to preserve the sapling until it becomes a tree. Its objective is not only to plant saplings, but also to increase their conservation and survival rates, so that this environmental conservation campaign can be long-term and effective.
