In a sudden move, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs has removed Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha and appointed 1994-batch AGMUT cadre IPS officer Anurag Kumar as the new Commissioner for a 3-year term. The order said the appointment is effective from the date of assumption of charge. Satish Golcha, who took charge on August 22, 2025 after the attack on Delhi CM Rekha Gupta, has been directed to report to the Delhi LG for further posting.
