CBSE Class 10 second board results declared:Overall pass percentage reaches 96.78%; students can check on DigiLocker

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the results of the Class X Second Board Examination, 2026. Students can access their results through the DigiLocker Results Portal at the URL: http://results.digilocker.gov.in. 96.78% overall pass percentage after combining the results of the Main and Second Board Examinations of 2026. Introduced from the 2026 academic session under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the second board examination allows Class 10 students to appear for two board exams in a year, with the better of the two scores considered for the final result. The main board examination was held from February 17 to March 11, while the second examination took place between May 15 and May 21. Over 6.63 lakh students appeared A total of 6,64,027 students registered for the second board examination, of whom 6,63,777 appeared. Of these, 5,13,955 students took the examination to improve their scores. CBSE said 3,08,095 students, or 59.95%, improved their performance compared to the main examination. Compartment pass percentage improves Under the compartment category, 1,49,822 students appeared for the examination. Of them, 78,503 students passed, taking the compartment pass percentage to 52.40%, up from 48.68% last year. After combining the results of the main and second board examinations, the overall Class 10 pass percentage for 2026 stands at 96.78%. Results available on DigiLocker CBSE said school-wise results will be shared with schools through their registered email addresses, while digital academic documents will be available through the CBSE repository. Students studying in CBSE-affiliated schools abroad can also download their results and digital certificates through DigiLocker. Printed mark sheets and passing certificates for regular students will be distributed through their respective schools. Private candidates will receive digital documents via DigiLocker, while printed copies will be sent to their registered addresses. Candidates under the Delhi East and Delhi West Regional Offices can collect printed documents from their examination centres. CBSE advises students to rely on official sources The board said details regarding post-result services will be issued separately through an official circular. ​
