A scuffle broke out between the police and farmers in Ghaziabad on Tuesday. Around 1 pm, farmer protesters were moving towards Delhi, but the police stopped them by setting up barricades at the Ghazipur border. The farmers insisted on moving forward and started trying to remove the barricades. During this, a clash occurred between the farmers and the police. A tense atmosphere prevailed at the spot for 20 minutes. Later, officials pacified the farmers. Farmers across the country had announced a march to Kisan Ghat in Delhi on Tuesday, in protest against the proposed trade deal between India and America. Farmers from UP were also going to Delhi to join this protest. In view of this, heavy police force was deployed at the Ghazipur border between Delhi and UP.
