From Plots To Ecosystem: ACS Industries Department Shri Neeraj Mandloi’s Mandideep Visit Signals MP’s New Industrial Playbook

Madhya Pradesh is moving beyond land allotments to build complete, investor-ready industrial ecosystems, with a sharp focus on infrastructure that matches what businesses actually need.

In a strong push for on-ground delivery, Shri Neeraj Mandloi, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, Government of Madhya Pradesh, conducted a detailed inspection of key development projects in the Mandideep Industrial Area and reviewed the pace and quality of ongoing works.

“Infrastructure Must Be Aligned With Investors’ Expectations”
During the inspection, Mandloi assessed the progress of major infrastructure projects and stressed that industrial areas must be developed keeping investor requirements at the center.

At a time when states are competing for investments through both policies and physical infrastructure, Mandloi emphasized that reliable utilities, efficient facilities, and a supportive business environment will decide where investors choose to set up.

“Strengthening established clusters like Mandideep is central to MP’s strategy to consolidate its position as a preferred destination for both domestic and global investors,” officials said.

Mandideep: MP’s Key Industrial Growth Engine
Mandideep has emerged as one of Madhya Pradesh’s most prominent industrial hubs, hosting units across multiple sectors.

The ACS noted that continued investment in roads, power, water, and civic amenities will further boost the competitiveness of the area and improve the working environment for industries and employees.

The visit reflects the department’s commitment to ground-level monitoring to ensure that planned projects translate into tangible results on the ground.

Special Focus On Women Workers’ Welfare
A key highlight of the inspection was the review of a Working Women’s Hostel being developed in the industrial area.

Mandloi underlined that safe and affordable accommodation is critical to increasing women’s participation in the industrial workforce. Such social infrastructure, he said, is as important as factories and production lines for sustainable industrial growth.

From Industrial Plots To Complete Ecosystems
The Mandideep review signals a larger shift in MP’s industrial policy — from just developing plots to building integrated ecosystems with connectivity, utilities, worker housing, and social infrastructure.

“Industrial growth today depends not only on investment promotion, but on creating infrastructure that is responsive to investors and inclusive of the workforce,” Mandloi noted.

With continued administrative oversight and timely completion of projects, the state aims to further strengthen its position as one of India’s emerging investment and manufacturing destinations.

The message from Mandideep is clear: MP is building infrastructure for business, for workers, and for the future.
