ACC Clears One-Year Extension for Joint Director Nitin Deep Blaggan Beyond Oct 8, 2026

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is set to witness key changes in its senior leadership with the approval of a one-year extension for Joint Director Nitin Deep Blaggan and the induction of two IPS officers as SP and DIG.

NITIN DEEP BLAGGAN GETS ONE-YEAR EXTENSION AS JOINT DIRECTOR, CBI

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the extension of the deputation tenure of Shri Nitin Deep Blaggan, IPS (RJ:2003), Joint Director, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), for a period of one year beyond October 8, 2026.

Blaggan, a 2003-batch Rajasthan cadre officer, has been handling crucial investigations in the agency.

R. CHETHAN INDUCTED AS DIG IN CBI

The competent authority has approved the induction of Shri R. Chethan, IPS (KTK:2010) as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the CBI on deputation basis for a period of five years from the date of assuming charge.

Chethan is a 2010-batch Karnataka cadre IPS officer.

KIRAN NARAYANAN INDUCTED AS SP IN CBI

The competent authority has also approved the induction of Shri Kiran Narayanan, IPS (KL:2014) as Superintendent of Police (SP) in the CBI on deputation basis for a period of five years from the date of assuming charge.

Narayanan is a 2014-batch Kerala cadre IPS officer.
