On the final day of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai’s visit to Singapore, Chhattisgarh achieved significant achievements in the field of skill development and investment. An MoU was signed with Singapore’s ITE Education Services to provide training to the state’s youth as per the needs of industries. A new investment proposal of ₹350 crore was also received in the field of agriculture and food processing. With this, the amount of FDI investment proposals received by Chhattisgarh during the Singapore visit has increased to ₹43,600 crore.

Chief Minister Sai also met with Singapore’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan. He also discussed investment and partnership opportunities with representatives of leading global companies.

Chhattisgarh has participated in the first Singapore-India Network for Growth (SING) Forum 2026 on the nomination of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

Emphasis on skilling that connects youth with employment

In the presence of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, an MoU was signed between the Chhattisgarh government and ITE Education Services, Singapore, for technical and vocational education and training. The Chief Minister and the delegation also visited ITE College and understood its industry-based training model.

In Singapore, major companies like Cisco, BYD, and Singapore Airlines collaborate with ITE colleges to develop curriculum, provide training, and provide necessary equipment. This experience will be leveraged in Chhattisgarh. This will help develop curriculum tailored to industry needs, provide better training for instructors, and create new employment opportunities for youth.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said, “Investment brings industries, and skilled youth become the strength of those industries. Singapore has developed a successful model of skill development. We want the youth of Chhattisgarh to receive modern training tailored to the needs of industries and build better careers in their own state. Industries coming to the state should find the skilled youth they need here.”

Farmers’ produce will get a bigger market

Chief Minister Shri Sai invited Singapore’s Valency International Pte Ltd. to invest ₹350 crore in Chhattisgarh. The company, which operates in 22 countries, will establish an integrated agro- and food processing and export hub in the state.

Cashews, sesame seeds, pulses, and peanuts will be processed at this hub. This will enhance the value of farmers’ produce within the state, provide them with new markets, and increase local employment opportunities.

Meeting with the Foreign Minister of Singapore

Chief Minister Shri Sai met with Singapore’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan. The two discussed enhancing cooperation between Chhattisgarh and Singapore in the areas of investment, skill development, urban planning, and technology. They also discussed how Singapore’s experience and expertise could be leveraged for Chhattisgarh’s development.

Investment discussions with over 15 global companies

At the CEO Roundtable, Chief Minister Mr. Sai interacted with representatives from more than 15 global companies, including TCS, SMBC, Tolaram Group, Agrocorp, Indian Ocean Group, and Blue Aqua.

The Chief Minister briefed them on Chhattisgarh’s investment-friendly policies, reforms, and improved business climate. The meeting discussed investment and partnership opportunities in technology, banking, agribusiness, aquaculture, and the food sector.

Discussion on training youth in AI and digital finance

Chief Minister Mr. Sai also held discussions with representatives from the Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN). The meeting was attended by GFTN’s Group CEO, Mr. Sopnendu Mohanty, CEO for India, Asia, Japan and ASEAN, Mr. James Boey, and Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Anthony Thomas, along with their team.

The meeting discussed the possibilities of cooperation in training the youth of Chhattisgarh in AI and digital finance, connecting the state’s startups with global investors and setting up tech labs for new technologies.

These important agreements and meetings concluded Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai’s visit to Singapore. The visit opened up new investment opportunities for Chhattisgarh, as well as skills, technology, and global partnerships. The delegation will return to Raipur on October 7th.
