Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board to use 15,000 properties for poor education

Madhya Pradesh state Waqf board chairman Dr Sanawar Patel has said that 15,000 notify properties under the board will be used for welfare of poor and to support education of weaker sections.

Dr Sanawar Patel was addressing the first state level seminar held after the supreme court declined to stay the Waqf Amendment Act 2025 but kept certain provisions on hold.

The seminar discuss provisions of the amendment act along with UMEED (Unified Waqf Management, Empowerment, Efficiency, and Development) Central portal and rules tenancy and patta act, auction of agriculture land and legal and legal aid issues.

Waqf Board Chairman Patel Dr Sanawar Patel further informed that the board must implement the act to ensure its properties provide maximum benefits to needy and to childrens education in MP.
