Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will be visiting his hometown Ujjain on Monday to take part in several key programs marking the festive season. His arrival in the temple city is expected around 1:30 PM. CM will first attend a local event in Ninora and later return to Ujjain for the BJP’s Diwali Milan ceremony scheduled at Aastha Garden. The event will bring together party leaders, workers, and citizens to celebrate Diwali with cultural and social programs. Launch of Ragi Laddoo Prasadam at Mahakal Temple Around 7:30 PM, CM Yadav will inaugurate the sale of Ragi (finger millet) laddoos at a special counter in Mahakal Lok, an initiative led by the Mahakal Temple Committee. These laddoos, made from nutritious ingredients like ragi, jaggery, and ghee, are part of a new drive to promote healthy temple offerings while supporting local farmers and traditional food producers. From Tuesday onwards, devotees visiting the temple will be able to buy these laddoos as prasadam on a daily basis. Officials said this eco-conscious and health-focused initiative aims to combine devotion with wellness while promoting locally sourced products as part of the temple’s sustainable offerings. Light and sound show to depict Lord Shiva’s legends The Chief Minister will also inaugurate a Light and Sound Show at Mahakal Lok — a visually captivating 31-minute presentation that narrates the divine stories of Lord Shiva through synchronized lights, music, and water effects. This spectacular show has been developed under the Ujjain Smart City Project in collaboration with the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (MPTDC). It will be held every evening at the Rudra Sagar area, adjacent to the Mahakal Temple. Officials stated that the final timings of the show will be announced soon. The initiative is expected to enhance the visitor experience, attract more tourists, and establish Mahakal Lok as a leading spiritual destination in India. Special prayers and festive decorations During his visit, CM Yadav will perform special prayers and rituals at the Mahakaleshwar Temple, one of India’s twelve Jyotirlingas. The temple premises and the Mahakal Lok corridor have been adorned with flowers, traditional Diyas, and vibrant lights in celebration of Diwali. The entire area glows with devotion and cultural grandeur, drawing large crowds of pilgrims and tourists.
