Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has said that the end of Maoism in Chhattisgarh is now moving toward becoming a reality. The people-centric initiative “Poona Margem – From Rehabilitation to Rejuvenation” has ushered in a new wave of peace and trust in Bastar. The Chief Minister stated that today, 21 Naxalites in Kanker district have surrendered, abandoning the path of violence. This is strong evidence of the success of the “Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy – 2025” and the “Niyad Nella Nar Scheme” currently being implemented in the state. He said that the misguided youth who once fell prey to the false and deceptive ideology of Maoism are now realizing that the path of development, not violence, is the true way forward. The government is fully committed to the rehabilitation, retraining, and social reintegration of these surrendered Naxalites so that they can join the mainstream and live a life of dignity in society. The Chief Minister further said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the leadership of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, the Chhattisgarh Government has earned the trust of the people of Bastar. As a result, Maoist organizations are rapidly weakening, and a large number of members are giving up violence and accepting peace. He added that the backbone of Naxalism in the Bastar region has now been broken, and the area is progressing rapidly toward peace, development, and empowerment. The Chief Minister stated that the goal of the double-engine government is to make India completely free from Naxalism by March 31, 2026, and Chhattisgarh is moving swiftly in that direction.
