Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and his wife, Smt. Kaushalya Sai, visited the Duldula Chhath Ghat today on the auspicious occasion of Chhath Mahaparv, where they offered Arghya to the Sun and prayed for the prosperity and well-being of the state. The Chief Minister extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on the occasion of Chhath Puja. He said it was a matter of great fortune for him to participate in this sacred festival. Shri Sai stated that it is only through the trust and affection of the people that he has been given the opportunity to serve them, and he remains committed to the development of the region and to fulfilling the aspirations of the citizens. Responding to the demand of the local residents, the Chief Minister announced the beautification of the Duldula Chhath Ghat. He assured that the beautification work would be completed before the next Chhath festival. He also mentioned that the beautification of the Kunkuri Chhath Ghat has been completed at a cost of approximately ₹5.17 crore, where women devotees are performing rituals this year with great devotion and reverence. On this occasion, District Panchayat Vice President Shri Shaurya Pratap Singh Judev, Janpad Panchayat Duldula President Shri Ramkumar Singh, IG Shri Deepak Kumar Jha, Collector Shri Rohit Vyas, Superintendent of Police Shri Shashi Mohan Singh, along with women observing the Chhath fast, public representatives, and a large number of local residents were present.
