The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Shashank Mani Tripathi, IAS (AGMUT:2015), as Officer on Special Duty to the Minister for Home Affairs Amit Shah in the Ministry of Home Affairs. His tenure will be at the level of Deputy Secretary, effective from the date of assuming charge, for the remaining period of his four-year central deputation tenure up to August 30, 2028, or on a co-terminus basis with the Minister. His previous tenure as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs has been curtailed to facilitate this appointment.
