Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai today honored the mountaineers from Jashpur district who achieved success in the Tribal Alpine Expedition Himalaya 2025 by presenting them with certificates of appreciation at the CM Camp Office located in Bagia, Jashpur. Commending the courage, discipline, and indomitable spirit of the youth, the Chief Minister said that the young people of Jashpur have proven that with determination, perseverance, and self-confidence, no great goal is impossible to achieve. The Chief Minister further stated that this remarkable accomplishment will inspire tribal youth across Jashpur and the entire state, generating new awareness and enthusiasm for adventure sports. He emphasized that such expeditions help develop confidence, leadership qualities, and a sense of teamwork among youth. It is noteworthy that the youth of Jashpur participated in the Tribal Alpine Expedition Himalaya 2025 held in Himachal Pradesh, successfully scaling the Duhangan Valley to a height of 5,350 meters, bringing pride to the state of Chhattisgarh. During the expedition, the team demonstrated exceptional skill and bravery in challenging and thrilling activities such as trekking, rock climbing, and ice climbing. The team had departed for the expedition in September with the support of the Jashpur district administration. Expressing their gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Sai, the participants said that the support and encouragement from the government and administration enabled them to take part in the Himalayan expedition and achieve this milestone. They added that the experience and confidence gained from the expedition would inspire other young people in the district to participate in adventure sports. Sharing their experiences, the youth mentioned that, with the government’s support, they had the opportunity to represent the tribal forest region of Jashpur in the Himalayan expedition. Participating in various adventure activities — trekking, rock climbing, and ice climbing — they learned teamwork and perseverance under challenging conditions. It is significant that the Tribal Himalayan Mountaineering Expedition 2025 began as a local training initiative that, through collective belief, cooperation, and dedication, evolved into a strong and successful expedition. This initiative not only ignited confidence and a spirit of adventure among the youth but also strengthened Chhattisgarh’s identity at the national level.
