Class 9th student raped in Scorpio:Gave a lift and took her to a deserted area; abandoned her at Amla railway station in Betul

A case of gang rape involving a 9th-class student has come to light in the Amla Police Station area of Betul. After school, while returning home, the student was offered a lift in a Scorpio by three miscreants, Suraj, Lokesh, and Lalu, who then took her to a secluded spot and raped her. Based on the victim’s complaint, who was found in suspicious circumstances by the police, two of the accused have been arrested, while the driver remains at large. The victim was found sitting at Amla railway station, where she had remained all night. When she was seen in the station’s waiting hall the following day, Saturday, the police’s suspicion deepened. Upon questioning, she recounted her ordeal. Subsequently, the victim’s family was called, and a case was registered on Saturday night. Accused caught through friend’s phone call The police received information about the accused from a phone call. When the accused pretended their vehicle had broken down, the victim took one of their phones and called their friend, asking him to take them home. The friend, who was in Sarni, could not come. The police obtained crucial information about the accused from this phone call, leading to their arrest. The Scorpio used in the crime belonged to the brother-in-law of one of the accused and has been seized. 2 accused arrested, driver have arrested two of the perpetrators while the vehicle’s driver remains absconding. A search is underway for the fugitive accused. ​
