Ujjain woman fell in love with 2.5-ft-tall Rohit:Carries husband in her arms; couple eloped and married without family’s consent

In Ujjain, a unique love story has captured attention, that of 2.5-ft-tall Rohit and 5-foot-tall Tina. Despite physical challenges and family opposition, the couple chose each other for life. Rohit Nagmotia (35), a resident of the Naipeth area in Ujjain, has been disabled since birth. His love story with Tina began between 2016 and 2018 when they connected through Facebook and Instagram. Being from the same community, they often met at social gatherings, and their friendship gradually turned into love. Valentine’s day proposal and family opposition In 2019, on Valentine’s Day, Rohit proposed to Tina, but she was taken aback and blocked him in anger. Later, Rohit called her and promised not to repeat such a thing again. Over time, their conversations resumed, and the bond deepened. Eventually, Tina accepted Rohit’s love and decided to spend her life with him. However, when both families came to know about their relationship, they faced strong opposition. Both eloped and got married Tina recalls that when her father found out about their relationship, he opposed it, and Rohit faced the same from his family. On May 4, 2019, they eloped to Ashta with the help of Rohit’s friends and had a court marriage there. They stayed in Ashta for a few days before returning to Ujjain and informing their families about the marriage. Eventually, both families agreed. With their consent, Rohit and Tina got married again in a traditional ceremony at Chintaman Temple, Ujjain, on June 22, 2023, in the presence of their families. Husband in one hand, daughter in other Rohit cannot walk or move independently, so Tina assists him in every task — from bathing and dressing to daily chores. After the birth of their daughter, Kriyanshi, her responsibilities doubled. She now takes care of both her husband and child with equal dedication. Tina often carries her daughter in one arm and her husband in the other when she goes out. She admits that she faces taunts and stares from people in the market and on social media, but says such remarks no longer affect her. Couple is active on Instagram Rohit and Tina are both active on Instagram. They regularly post reels together on Bollywood songs. Their videos have garnered attention and affection online. Rohit currently has over 5,000 followers, while Tina has more than 6,000 followers. Both live in a joint family Rohit lives with his family in Ujjain. His father, Purushottam Nagmotia, runs a flower and prasad shop outside the Shri Mahakal Temple, assisted by his mother and brother. Rohit earlier ran a restaurant, but it has now closed down. Tina also hails from Ujjain. Her father, Radheshyam Bairagi, works at the Mahakal Temple. She has one elder brother, one younger brother, and one younger sister. Her mother passed away in 2007 due to cancer. ​
