A dispute between a woman and a Patwari has gone viral from Sehore district. Sakshi Mehra accused Patwari Antim Dhurve of assault when she visited the Tehsil office to ask about a delay in her farm map correction. The incident, captured on video, has sparked outrage. The Tehsildar has taken notice and promised an investigation. Incident in Panchor village The case took place in Panchor village of Bhairunda tehsil. Patwari Antim Dhurve, from Halka No. 45, is accused of attacking Sakshi Mehra. She had gone to the Tehsil office to enquire about the delay in correcting her land map. Video of altercation goes viral A video of the incident surfaced on social media on Thursday. It shows a heated argument between Sakshi Mehra and the Patwari. There was also an attempt at physical assault. The video quickly gained attention online. Victim’s complaint Sakshi Mehra filed a written complaint with Tehsildar Saurabh Sharma. She accused the Patwari of harassment and negligence in work. She said she had applied for map correction about four months ago, but the Patwari kept delaying it. Details of the confrontation On Tuesday afternoon, Sakshi went to the Patwari with her maternal uncle to ask why the correction was delayed. The Patwari allegedly continued to procrastinate. When she pressed the matter, he assaulted them. Sakshi said the Patwari had been harassing her repeatedly. Government rules on map corrections According to government rules, land documents must be provided to beneficiaries within a fixed time frame. Delays by officials are not permitted. Tehsildar orders investigation Tehsildar Saurabh Sharma visited the spot after hearing about the incident. He confirmed that Sakshi Mehra submitted a written complaint. The Tehsildar said, “The matter will be further investigated.
