The Madhya Pradesh government has announced several major decisions for citizens, including increasing monthly payments to Ladli Behna sisters, providing soybean farmers with Bhavantar payments, and promoting solar power installations on government buildings. These decisions were taken in the state cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. ‘Ladli Behna’ beneficiaries to receive increased payment On November 12, 1.26 crore Ladli Behna sisters will receive Rs 1,500 in their accounts. This is an increase of Rs 250 from the previous Rs 1,250. The cabinet approved the increase in a meeting held today, as the Chief Minister will be in Kevadia on Tuesday. From March 2023 until now, approximately Rs 44,000 crore has been transferred to 1.26 crore sisters. This year, around Rs 20,450 crore will be spent. The Chief Minister will transfer the amount from Seoni using a single-click payment system. Birsa Munda Jayanti celebrations On November 15, Birsa Munda Jayanti will be celebrated with two major programmes in Jabalpur and Alirajpur. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will join the Jabalpur event via video conference. District-level programmes will also take place across Madhya Pradesh. Tribal talents in education and sports will be honoured. Local public representatives will participate in these events. Bhavantar scheme for soybean farmers Under the Bhavantar scheme, the model rate for soybean in Madhya Pradesh has been set at Rs 4,036 per quintal. Rates are now being calculated daily. On November 13, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will transfer approximately Rs 300 crore to around 1.32 lakh farmers from Dewas. This will amount to about Rs 1,300 per quintal of soybeans. Around 1.6 lakh farmers have sold nearly 2.7 lakh quintals of soybeans. The daily rate release ensures transparency. Crop damage compensation has also been provided through single-click payments. Solar panels on govt buildings The RESCO scheme will install solar panels on all government buildings without using government funds. The project follows a public-private partnership (PPP) model. District-level tenders will be issued for 20-kilowatt rooftop schemes. Smaller projects under 20 kilowatts will also get work.
