This November, Madhya Pradesh is experiencing record-breaking cold. Many cities, including Indore and Bhopal, have recorded the lowest temperatures in decades. Indore is facing its coldest weather in 25 years, while Bhopal has remained below 9°C for seven consecutive nights. The northern icy winds are causing severe cold in many districts. Cities feeling the chill The mercury has dropped sharply in Indore, Bhopal, and Jabalpur. Meanwhile, Pachmarhi, the state’s only hill station, is less cold because the northern winds do not reach it with the same intensity. Weather expert PK Shah explained that districts in the Gwalior, Chambal, Ujjain, Indore, Sagar, and Bhopal divisions are seeing the maximum effect of the icy winds. A cold day occurs when the minimum temperature falls below 10°C and the maximum temperature is more than 6.5°C below normal. Currently, Anuppur and Balaghat are experiencing this. Both day and night temperatures have dropped significantly. November weather forecast The Meteorological Department had predicted that cold would intensify in the second week of November. The forecast has come true. Mercury is dropping sharply, especially in Gwalior-Chambal division, where northern winds hit directly. Temperatures are expected to fall further in these areas.
