Maoism in Bastar is rapidly moving toward complete eradication. Under the ‘Niyad Nellanar Yojana’, villagers in remote interior regions are being swiftly connected to essential government schemes. Like other parts of the state, Bastar is also to be taken to new heights of development. Within just two years, the state government has fulfilled most of its guarantees and continues to work tirelessly to make Chhattisgarh a prosperous state. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said this today while addressing the Budhadev Mahotsav organized by the Gada community in Kondagaon.

Foundation Stones & Inaugurations Worth ₹127 Crore

On this occasion, the Chief Minister performed the bhoomipujan and inauguration of 61 development works worth ₹127 crore. He announced:

  • ₹90 lakh for the construction of the Kongud–Dhanora road
  • ₹39 crore for the Keshkal–Vishrampuri road
  • ₹2.71 crore for a 100-seater girls’ hostel for Scheduled Tribe students in village Kudhur

He also announced the allocation of ₹1.5 crore for operating a multipurpose center, a Divyang center, and a coaching center.
Additionally, he released a coffee table book “Journey of Dignity: Story of NRLM Kondagaon”, an early childhood care booklet, a helpline number for high-risk pregnancies, a helmet bank, and a Suposhit Vikas Chart.

State’s Silver Jubilee Celebrations

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that on the completion of 25 years of statehood, silver jubilee celebrations are being held across the state. He mentioned that Chhattisgarh is rich in natural resources and has extremely fertile soil. A total of 18 lakh houses have been sanctioned under government schemes. Paddy procurement from farmers started on November 15.

He also highlighted that schemes like the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Tendu Leaf Collectors’ Welfare Scheme, and Charan Paduka Yojana are continuously benefiting the people.

Importance of Education

The Chief Minister emphasized that good education is essential to become a successful farmer, entrepreneur, public servant, or politician. He urged everyone to pay special attention to the education of children.

MLA Smt. Lata Usendi also addressed the event, highlighting the achievements and welfare initiatives of the state government.

Cultural Welcome & Community Participation

Upon the Chief Minister’s arrival, he was welcomed warmly with the traditional playing of the Mohari musical instrument. He worshipped Lord Budhadev and prayed for the prosperity of the people of the state.

Rita Shori, Shri Kamalchandra Bhanjdeo, former MP Shri Mohan Mandavi, former MLA Shri Shishupal Shori, and Ganda Samaj office bearers Shri Pradeep Kuldeep, Dr. Kiran Baghel, and Shri Ashok Chauhan, along with a large number of dignitaries.
