A 30-year-old national-level shooter was allegedly harassed by a bus conductor while boarding a private travel bus running between Indore and Pune. The incident occurred on Sunday night near Rajendra Nagar in Indore. According to reports, as the shooter boarded the bus, the conductor made inappropriate physical contact. When she objected, both the conductor and the driver allegedly misbehaved. The female shooter, defending herself, reportedly fought back and assaulted both men, who then fled the scene. Passengers present claimed that the conductor and driver appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. Passengers stranded, bus delayed Following the altercation, all passengers disembarked from the bus and contacted the travel company office. Police arrived at the scene after being notified. The bus remained stationary overnight, and a replacement driver was sent by the travel operators at 4 am on Monday, allowing the journey to Pune to resume. Police action underway The victim has filed a complaint at the Rajendra Nagar police station. Sub-Inspector Shilpa Patidar confirmed the incident and stated that the complainant is a resident of Pune. “An FIR will be registered after the investigation. Discussions with senior officers are ongoing for the next steps,” she said. Similar incidents previously reported This is not the first case of harassment on buses in the region. Earlier, on November 6, a woman passenger traveling on a Mumbai-Indore Hans Travels bus faced inappropriate behavior by a fellow passenger. Allegedly, the driver and cleaner did not intervene. Following a viral video of the incident, the Rajendra Nagar police registered an FIR and transferred the case to Barwani. Authorities urge vigilance Passengers and authorities emphasize the need for proper monitoring and accountability of bus staff, particularly on long-distance travel routes, to ensure passenger safety.
