Chief Minister Shri Sai said that this major step in labour reforms is an unprecedented guarantee for the rights, safety, social dignity, and economic empowerment of more than 40 crore workers across the country. The Chief Minister stated that today marks a milestone in the history of India’s labour sector. With the implementation of all four labour codes, provisions such as the right to minimum wages, equal pay for women, gratuity for fixed-term employees, social security for every worker, free health check-ups, and double wages for overtime will be uniformly ensured across the country. He said these measures will not only benefit workers but also contribute to a more transparent, balanced, and labour-friendly industrial environment. The Chief Minister said that the labour codes represent a major transformative step toward the inclusive and self-reliant India envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He added that India’s working population is the backbone of the nation’s productivity and economic progress, and protecting their rights is a top priority for any strong nation. These codes will provide a safer, more dignified, and empowered environment for the country’s workforce.
