Jagdeep Dhankhar avoids question on resignation from VP post:Says ‘God forbid anyone trapped in narrative’; attends Raj Bhavan event in Bhopal

Former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar said on Friday evening at Ravindra Bhawan in Bhopal that people should be careful and not get caught in a “narrative trap”. He said some people never want to understand anything, and they will twist the matter in any situation. He added that “you cannot wake someone who is asleep even while being awake”. Dhankhar was speaking at the launch of the book Hum Aur Yeh Vishwa (We and This World) written by Dr Manmohan Vaidya, an All India Executive Member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. This was Dhankhar’s first major public speech after resigning from the post of Vice President. At the end of the program, when he was asked why he resigned from the post of Vice President, he folded his hands, got into the car, and left without saying anything. Dhankhar said – It’s a very old saying and very difficult… you can wake up someone who is asleep, but you cannot wake up someone who is awake but pretending to be asleep. Even if you use force. Dhankhar said some people have created a big uproar. Keep yourself strong amidst challenges. Patriotism is very important. Understand your feelings towards the country and do what is in the national interest. You have duties towards the country, fulfill them. This is also patriotism. Don’t join any race without understanding anything. Understand the matter, observe. Don’t leave your roots, always stay connected to your roots. Always study for the tonic of your mind. Understand, understand good things. Strive for the strengthening of society. Today our India is changing. It reminds us of the glory of the past. Whatever the sector, we are moving forward. Vaidya called Dhankhar his guardian In his address at the event, Manmohan Vaidya referred to Jagdeep Dhankhar as his guardian at the beginning of his speech. Vaidya said an incident awakened the writer within him. Vaidya said – Unnecessary opposition benefits the Sangh. Pranab Mukherjee was invited to the third-year training camp of the Sangh. He was not going to join the Sangh. He only had to deliver an address, but he faced a lot of opposition. Seeing the unnecessary opposition, I started writing. No BJP leader arrived to receive Dhankhar at the airport. On this, former Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh commented that for BJP, only that which is useful to them is important. “Use and throw, this is BJP’s policy.” Digvijaya said that Dhankhar has come for an RSS event, so questions cannot be raised about his program. At the same time, it is unfortunate that no government minister came to Bhopal airport to receive Jagdeep Dhankhar ji, who fought a one-sided battle for BJP RSS in the upper house of Parliament. In a way, this is a blatant violation of VIP protocol. Ideally, the Chief Minister should have received him, especially since Dhankhar ji has come to attend an RSS event. The question is, the person whom BJP appointed to a dignified post like Vice President cannot be ordinary, and if Dhankhar ji was not worthy of that post, then why was he made Vice President? Requested meeting time, received no response
