Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai Inaugurates Housing Board’s Residential Projects Worth ₹2,060 Crore12,000+ affordable and quality houses to be built under 55 projects across 26 districtsThree-day State-Level Housing Fair begins at Shankar Nagar BTI Ground Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today inaugurated residential projects worth ₹2,060 crore of the Chhattisgarh Housing Board at the three-day State-Level Housing Fair organized at BTI Ground, Shankar Nagar, Raipur. A total of 55 projects will be launched across 26 districts, through which over 12,000 affordable and high-quality houses will be constructed. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also launched the Housing Board’s AI chatbot and portal, which will help consumers easily access information about various housing projects. The event was attended by Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Housing & Environment Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary, Revenue Minister Shri Tankaram Verma, MLAs Shri Motilal Sahu, Shri Purandar Mishra, Shri Anuj Sharma, Housing Board Chairman Shri Anurag Singhdeo, Film Development Corporation Chairperson Ms. Mona Sen, Telghani Board Chairman Shri Jatin Sahu, and a large number of citizens. Chief Minister Sai said that the current team of the Chhattisgarh Housing Board is performing exceptionally well and is moving forward with innovation to provide affordable and quality housing to the people. He added that the state government has repaid ₹790 crore of the Housing Board’s debt, making it a debt-free institution so that it can plan and work more effectively. Referring to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana being implemented across the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister said that in the last two years, 26 lakh people in Chhattisgarh have been sanctioned houses under the scheme. Under the PM Janman Yojana, 32,000 houses have been approved for Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs), and 15,000 houses have been sanctioned for surrendered Naxalites and Naxal-affected families in Bastar. At the event, the Chief Minister handed over house booking certificates, keys to new homeowners, and freehold certificates to Housing Board beneficiaries and congratulated them. Speaker Dr. Raman Singh praised the work of the Housing Board, noting that the overwhelming response to the Housing Fair is evident from traffic congestion around the venue since the morning. He commended the Chief Minister for making provisions of ₹14,000 crore in the state budget to ensure housing for needy families and expressed confidence that these projects would receive excellent response across districts. Housing & Environment Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary thanked the Chief Minister for decisions that improved the Housing Board’s functioning and provided relief to consumers. He stated that due to the Chief Minister’s special initiative, the Board has become free of ₹790 crore debt and achieved ₹672 crore business in just one year. He added that the government has given significant relief in land diversion and freehold approvals. Housing projects will now be developed based on consumer demand. Housing Board Chairman Shri Anurag Singhdeo also addressed the gathering, stating that under the leadership of Chief Minister Sai, the Board will construct houses in all districts and launch projects in all assembly constituencies in the next phase. It is noteworthy that the State-Level Housing Fair at BTI Ground will continue till 25 November. On the first day, a large crowd gathered from the morning to inquire about housing projects and book houses. Heavy traffic congestion occurred on the road from Shankar Nagar Turning Point to Khamhardih due to the rush.
