Students of Sandipani School in Niwas, Mandla district, blocked the Niwas-Mandla main road on Tuesday morning. This happened after the principal suspended four students for posting an objectionable AI-generated picture of him on social media. The protesting students held placards, shouted slogans, and demanded the removal of the principal. Traffic on the road was disrupted for some time due to the protest. Protesting students also alleged that Principal Ved Prakash Avadhiya unnecessarily harasses them. As soon as the Niwas police received information about the road blockade by school children, they reached the spot. The police persuaded the children and removed them from the road, after which the students started a sit-in protest in front of the school. The road blockade, which lasted for about half an hour, has ended, but the students’ protest continues. The school principal, Niwas BEO, and Niwas police station in-charge are present at the spot and are talking to the students.
