Transparency is a fundamental requirement of any strong administrative system. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the Chhattisgarh Excise Department has adopted e-services, transforming its operations through digital initiatives. This shift has made the entire process—from bottling to delivery—fully transparent, secure, and technology-driven. According to information received from the Excise Department, systems such as e-challan, single-window login, user registration, real-time cash collection information, and a centralized video monitoring system have significantly improved transparency. Similarly, the NOC permit issuance system, track-and-trace mechanism, Aadhaar-enabled biometric attendance, and a toll-free grievance redressal facility have enhanced the department’s efficiency and credibility through modern online technologies. The transparent, secure, and technology-based framework has resulted in effective control over corruption and a sustained increase in state revenue. Moving toward a target of Rs. 12,000 crore in the current financial year, the department has already achieved revenue of Rs. 7,851 crore by December, reflecting a growth rate of 10.50 percent. Committed to realizing the good governance objectives of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the Chhattisgarh Excise Department is leveraging modern systems such as advanced video control rooms, digital dashboards, and live data monitoring to support decision-making and policy implementation. Technologies including QR codes, mobile scanning, GPS-based truck tracking, unique bottle codes, digital delivery confirmation, and modern retail outlets are being utilized to ensure a streamlined, well-organized, and technology-driven operational workflow.
